Over the years, Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards have been awarded to New Zealand’s most successful businesses, organisations and industry leaders.
Our awards are split up into two types of categories. Special Categories and Business Categories. The overall winner from the Business Categories was awarded the Supreme Business Of The Year Award.
The 2022 Supreme Business Of The Year Award went to Cameron Harrison Butchery.

2022 2degrees Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards – Awards Gala Night
Details of The Awards
The official presentation of the awards took place at the Awards Gala Evening on Friday 18 November 2022 at the Lower Hutt Events Centre. The event had close to 500 attendees.
Cameron Harrison Butchery was awarded the Supreme Business of the Year Award.
For the first time ever, the Awards inducted two businesses into the Hall of Fame. These were Real Steel and Fraser Engineering.
The 2022 Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards was a sold-out event.
Entries closed on Friday, September 16th 2022 at 5pm. In 2022, we had the highest amount of entries ever recorded in the 14 years that the award had been run.
Finalists were announced and celebrated at our Finalist Function on Thursday, October 27th 2022 sponsored by Waihanga Ara Rau – Workforce Development Council for Construction and Infrastructure. This was a packed-out event that had to be relocated to a bigger venue (Lane Street Studios).
All Businesses were privately funded to enter all categories except Not For Profit, Employer Excellence and Environmental Excellence.
The organisers retained the right to reclassify entries from one category to another.
